With the title itself, one might have imagined how it would be if we have Gen-X, Millennials ,Gen-Z's and Gen Alpha in one car going for a week Road trip. Highly Scary!!!! Similar feeling I had, when I was getting prepared to start 1000Km Road trip with my mom (Gen-X), Son (Gen-Z) and Daughter (Gen-Alpha) and myself (Millennial). One side highly elated and on the other side, I doubting my patience levels. This post I want to share with you my experience of traveling with three generations.
In my life no daring step starts without Abhilash's motivation. Its Dec 23rd 2021, packed the lunch with regular travel menu of Tomato rice, Chapathi, Groundnut powder and Potato fry. Bharan got his regular dental check for Brackets and then we started around 11:30AM from Hosur. Filled the fuel of full tank, Bharan being only male in the car gave him the front seat and two important ladies of my life mom and Nithila in the back and me being the driver.
Crossed Tamil Nadu Border with a proud that I am going to lead the trip. Entered Bangalore, the elevation bridge is always a tempting spot to rise the speed, forgetting that our police mama's will be waiting in the right spot to stop us. As expected and unexpected, the police stopped me for exceeding the speed and asked for license. Am such a daring a lady, without even keeping license with me I started my road trip. He asked for Rs 2000 and negotiated saying that I would pay Rs1000. thinking that it is a Drishti pooja, we started our journey again. I got bombarded with questions, suggestions from all these generations at a time. I asked everyone to keep quite till we cross Bangalore. Of-course everyone resumed speaking after 5mins. It took 1.5hrs to cross the city alone. Pathetic roads and one ways. Once we hit the Hyderabad Highway, It was amazing. The same day we also crossed Karnataka border and entered my birth state Andhra Pradesh. We reached Anantapur around 5:00PM. As usual Sudha aunty and uncle were waiting for us with lot of snacks. This is how our culture to show affection in terms of food that is served.
